Noodles isn't my only guest for the two weeks that their "food" humans are away. Lindsey is here as well. She's a little shy of the camera, so I only have this picture so far. Do not worry. I will take more.

I did get some great shots ... I thought ... but we'll never know, cuz it seems someone (HH) forgot to put the memory card in my camera... An easy enough mistake to make. HEE HEE (glad she did it.... not my memory that is in question here... shhhhhh... don't tell her I said that!)

Anyway, I owe you a couple more pictures of Lindsey. So watch for them.

Just wanted to tell you that we're having a grand time here. We watch the birds out the window and we nap and we nap and we nap.... and we nap. In fact, a nap might be a good idea right about now.

Good morning fellow felines and other critters:

I meant to tell you that I finally made it out of my bow tie and am now in my casual attire. So, today I'm celebrating just being me. That celebration includes many, many naps.

I guess lots of you are hot.... It's going to be 96 degrees today and that's not the feels-like temperature. So I guess it'll probably feel like 110 degrees.

Zowie.... I need to find a cool spot and stay put.

Stuck in my Fancy Clothes

Good morning critter pals. I changed into my pawty clothes on Friday so I would be appropriately dressed for the Anipal Academy Awards. The Awards were wonderful, weren't they?

I was so excited to receive my writing award and have posted it here on my bloggie. But, more exciting is how wonderful the whole weekend was. So, concatulations to the committee for putting together such a wonderful event and to all the winners for their awards.

Today.... I have a little problem. Not a big one, but I'm bringing it out in the open so you won't think that I don't know the difference between pawty clothes and everyday clothes....

You see... Twitter is doing something funny today and it won't let me change out of my pawty clothes. So, if you see me in my pink tie, don't snicker. At least I'm not stuck in one of those slinky dresses like some of the kitties. Those are murder to nap in.

Max's Mystery Novel - Episode 9

If you are new to following Max's Mystery Novel... you'll find Episodes 1 thru 8 by clicking on the picutre like this one in the column to the right. All the episodes except this one are there.

So, during Episode 8 we left it that Max was dancing around on HH's desk to show her a key piece of evidence. Max was sure the murderer had stolen something out of the folder on that desk... So we pick the story up in Max's own words...

Thank goodness HH finally recognized that I wasn't dancing on that folder for my health. The folder was much thinner than it was before Fred was murdered. I was positive that the murderer had stolen something out of it.

"What is it Max?" HH asked. Then she moved me aside

"The pictures...? Where are the pictures Fred had with his manuscript?"

Now, we're cooking, I thought. HH was finally catching the drift of my message. She picked up a yellow sticky note that she had stuck to the pictures. It read... "Two copies. One for office and one for Stefanie."

"At least Stefanie has a set of those pictures and we can look at them to see what the murderer was after," HH said to me.

I followed her to Stefanie's desk. You have to understand that Stefanie had just started and wasn't completely moved in. She rented one of the office spaces in Writer's Creative Studio from HH and paid part in money and part by doing the photography and design work for HH.

I jumped up on Stefanie's desk to get a better look, but at a glance, I knew that the pictures weren't there. There wasn't a folder fat enough to contain the pictures. I thought she had put them in her briefcase to take home, but I didn't know how to convey that to HH.

HH pulled out her phone and called Stefanie's number. I watched her intently as she waited. Finally she said. "Oh... who's this?"

"Yes, I'm the owner of Writer's Creative.... Yes, yes it is.... Sheriff Johnson? Stefanie what? Okay. We'll be right there.

HH hung up the phone and turned to me. "Max.... Stefanie's been kidnapped. We have to go over there. You think you'll be good on a leash? You can find clues better than anyone."

I didn't wait to answer HH. I ran up the stairs to get my leash. Of course, I'd be good on a leash. Detective Max was ready for action....

Happy 4th of July to You

Except for a time or two when HH put me in time out for minor infractions of the rules, I have never been without my freedom. Isn't that great!

As a writer and photographer, I especially appreciate being able to express myself freely according to my own creativity. Yay for July 4th.
