This is Knuckles' favorite position. We call it the "stretch." When HH comes in the door, Knuckles runs to the hallway and flops, then s...t...r...e...t...c...h...e...s. For this picture, he was on his side. Most often, he's on his back with optimum tummy exposure for scratching.I think the boy is feeling super comfortable and trusting in his new home... When I was his age, I was always curled into a ball... Never exposed my tummy to anybody. Now, some kitties do this maneuver to lure in their prey. Then when a bean goes to rub their tummy, they curl up and grab their hand. You know what I mean. Not so with Knuckles. What you see is what you get. It's purely a "Scratch my tummy," move... HEE HEE...
Well, just thought it was a cute picture. Besides that, I just wanted to tell you to have a nice holiday tomorrow. Time to go help E. Bunny paint the eggs.

Heeheehee- so cute :) My kitty always rolls like that too! But usually when she's hyper- because when you go to scratch her belly she gets up lightning quick & runs around the house xD I'm the only one in the house who thinks this is cute!! Heehee

Sammy and I are getting along okay now....we just ignore each other most of the time. But Andy growls at me and chases me!!!!!!!! Mama can't believe that otherwise always mild mannered Andy is being so mean to me!!!!!!!!

it's not often a cat likes his belly to be scratched but ours does..it's quite comical!

Knuckles sounds EXACTLY like Cody! Cody has always done the same too, since he was about 8 wks old. Always stretching, always exposing his belleh for belleh rubs...very trusting. Bobo wasn't like him either. I love how all kitties are sooo different!
