Wordy Wednesday at the Blogoversary Party

Blogoversary week continues here at my blog... You newbies (those of you who are just visiting the blog for the first, second or so time) might not know Knuckles and Bugsy. They are the two new kitties that HH rescued in January. I am working as hard as I can to raise these boys to be the best they can be. They are full of the devil, however, as you can see as you look through back blog posts.

Anyway, they have really perked up the blog. So I wanted to devote a day to a piece of their choosing. And, they chose for me to publish a little of my mystery novel. Some of you may remember that I wrote a mystery novel that I posted in segments on the blog.

Here's an exciting scene that Bugsy and Knuckles chose for me to publish today in honor of the Blogoversary...

It was a dark and stormy night -- one to be avoided at all cost -- when Max hitched up his courage and stuck his nose out the cat door. He had heard a noise in the backyard and knew it was up to him to investigate.

He stepped through the door with one front paw and turned his head to the right...nothing. Just as he was about to swing his head in the other direction, the hairs on his back stood up in response to a glint of metal he caught out of the corner of his eye. Too late to turn back, Max.... had only a split second to decide what to do in order to evade the nefarious interloper. Instinct took over; and for better or worse, he ran straight ahead in a flash. Unfortunately, he discovered the error of his thinking too late.

Whooooooooooosh! Max flew off the second story landing and found himself airborne. As he zoomed through the air, he prayed that the saying, "Cats land on their feet" held true ...

Bugsy: Don't ya just love exciting stories. This is me, hanging onto HH
cuz the story skeered me... !

... Blogoversary details...

Be sure to leave a comment. We're gonna draw for the Amazon.com
gift certificate at the end of today and announce it tomorrow...

And don't forget to sign onto the "follow gadget". HH will contribute a dollar to the SPCA of North Brevard for every new follower. And, she's also agreed to contribute a dollar for every copy of The Zen of Max (the book about me) sold during this week...

Have a great day...!!
