Treats... we all love 'em!

Good Friday Morning...

Bugsy and I are in conference this morning. We are brainstorming on the topic: How to Increase Treat Dispensing at the Condo. Any and all suggestions welcome.

We're not complaining, mind you. HH is very good about feeding us on time every day. And our water dish always has fresh water in it. But we've been watching as Max surfs the web and visits many of your blogs. We see all the delicious possibilities out there for treats. So far we have been unsuccessful in convincing HH to give us some of every variety. She says it's for our own good ... she doesn't want us to get too chubby and have to put us on a diet...

So, we're appealing to you more experienced cats. What do you do to get your humans to give up the goods?

It's the weekend. Hope everybody has a great time.

WEll, we don't have any advice for you since our Mom doesn't give us very many treats. The only treats she does give us is the vitamins that are chewable since some of us or a little sick. Hope you can figure something out and if you do let us know. Lots of head bumps and purrs and some good rubs might work.

The best way to garner treats, I have found, is to stay slim. If you get at all chubby, the humans will say you don't need them.

Refusing to eat our stinky goodness before we get a treat works, as does screaming at the human (Nicki). The mom also uses treats to lure us back into the house from the enclosed space when she has to leave for work. Sometimes we'll come in, but sometimes we'd rather stay out--we know if we come in for a treat that means we're stuck inside all day while she's at the office!

Around here we meow and meow and meow, if that don't work we get in front of Mumsy and circle and circle, rub her arms and her legs. But if we do it too often we don't get treats. We gotta keep our girly figures Mumsy says. Hugs and nose kisses

meowing and rubbing against legs frequently worked for me.

Not sure if this would work for cats or not...but...Riley likes to go "counter surfing" for any food goodies she can find. Give it a try!!

We just meow and look cute and we get treats all the time. Maybe that's why we're a little chubby.

Our mom is just too lazy and forgetful to give us treats often. I have found, though, that if I paw at the container, she'll give in most times. Try that!

This is the big problem with cats on the internet. They spend all their time surfing and never go out and play like they used to in the old days! >^,,^<

Afraid I don't know the secret to getting more treats. I has been put on a d.i.e.t. so I barely get any treats.

If you're watcing Max surf the net, you're only one step away from being able to do it yourselves. One of the fun things about surfing the net is online shopping. And they sell treats online. I'm just sayin'....

I get more treats because I eat less of my regular meals. For some reason, my human does not think I should recommend this, but I will tell you a secret: she does the VERY same thing herself!

MOL Knuckles and Bugsy, I'd love to share my secret with you for getting extra treats. I've developed it to perfection ofer the last 9 years. Are you ready?
It is called Mom torture. I walk around the family room every night after Mom's shower mewoing insistently (w/o breathing I might add) until she gives me exactly 5 Temptations no less will do. She says I said more in my first year than my predcessor said in 14 1/2 years.
All I can say is life must have been dull with Mr. never ever meows

Miaowing VERY LOUD for a VERY LONG time is one good way to get some xtra treats ;-)

Mom is a bit of a slacker in the treat department. If she buys them, we usually grab the bag and chew through it until we get some. Yeah...no matter where she hides them we find them.

Whenever our human gets the camera out, we try to get in the picture too and then she gives us treats for modeling. Good luck!

I meow relentlessly, usually around 11pm when Mom's resistance is lowered because she is tired and engrossed in some online activity.
I use the most annoying meow I can muster. Hit her late at night...it works.

I always wish I could have MORE treats. I learned how to High Five and whenever there is a treat I want, I wave my paw all around.

Can't help you. Treats are sparse at our house. We usually get them just on the weekend. We have crunchies all the time, and stinky goodness when mom gets home from work. But greenies or other treats we just get if she's home all day. :( Gotta figure out how to get greenies on weekdays, too.

We are funny...we only like one thing as a treat, Hill's t/d dental kibbles. Teri is surprised Disco hasn't knocked the cookie jar off the counter trying to sneak more!
