Joe is back... the remodeling resumes...

 

How do you work this thing?. It doesn't have the same feel as last time.

So, our pal Joe is back. He's redoing the ceiling and the lighting in the kitchen. I must say, we didn't witness much of his work first hand. We were shut in the office all day.... Oh no.... we are very behind in our snoopervision. That's for sure. 

Here's a picture of Knuckles on top of the refrigerator with the old ceiling... See the lights are right above his head...

And now.... *drum roll*.... that plastic ceiling stuff over the long tube lights is all gone and here's Knuckles demonstrating how much more headroom he has  when he sits on top of the refrigerator.  See, he doesn't have to duck his head.  His ears even go above the line where the old ceiling used to be.  It's great and open and airy and wonderful so far.

Obviously, it isn't finished and painted yet, but it is coming along and we give Joe very high marks for his first day of working on it.  

Below is a picture of what it looks like so far.  Joe put in a couple of inset lights over the bar.  Ah..... looks great... Today he'll put in the overhead light and do some surface work and maybe paint.  We'll let you know.
