The boys and I are pleased to pawticipate in Cat Talk Time. Thanks to the
Zoolatry for thinking of this wonderful activity. We have put our heads together. Here are our favorite cat talk phrases and words...
food human (or food machine): That's what we used to call HH before we started calling her HH. Food human is another name for the bean who feeds and takes care of us cats.
HH: That's what we call our bean. It's an endearing abbreviation for Her Highness.
bean: That's another term we use for humans. Usually we call the humans who take care of our friends beans, such as "How's your bean doing?"
pawsome: This is a term that should be used frequently. It is an exclamation to express how wonderful something or someone is...
jazz paws: This is a gesture. Humans often use jazz hands when they are talking about something they really like. Well, I use *jazz paws* to help when I'm talking about something I really like.
four-paw surfer slide: Wish I had a picture of this one. This is where one of us runs, jumps on a counter or table and slides (surfer style) across it dumping everything onto the floor.
ceiling cat: This is a cat statue position where the cat stares at the ceiling or wall to try to make you look too.
throne: This is the name Brian gave his cat scratcher and Bugsy picked up on it.
throne... you can either sit on it or under it...
nip: This is short for catnip. It is often used in conjunction with the word coma... nip or catnip coma is when the cat zones out from too much of the nip.
tock: An endearing term for the hind quarters...
purrfect: This one is just a purrfect word.
bi-pawler: This is when your cat is acting really affectionate and suddenly bites the puh-tooties out of your hand.
bird tv: This is when we sit at the window and gawk at the birds.
summer camp: This is one I used when Lindsey and The Great Noodles came over when their food humans went on vacation.
jungle adventure: This is a game the boys play where one hides under the blanket and the other jumps on him.
hair nest: This is the fur deposit the boys leave in a chair. They generally go back to the same spots to try to build up the nest before HH can get around to it to vacuum.
clock-in: This is what the boys were starting to do before the food experiment. Basically, they set their internal clocks for one hour before an event and they come to their bean to clock-in and remind the bean of the event. Clocking in is most consistently connected to regular feedings.
synchronized napping: This is when the boys nap at the same time in a harmonious configuration.
Hope you enjoyed our list. Have a great day...
