Hi Everybuddy... Max here... Welcome to Day Two of our 1st Annual New Year's Eve Party.  If you didn't come by yesterday, here's a little of what went on FIRST DAY OF 1ST ANNUAL NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY. But before you go over there.... Have a look around over here....

Thanks for coming. We've had such a great year, we just wanted to throw a little party to celebrate. Most of you know that HH adopted Bugsy and Knuckles this year. It's been a trip..... They have certainly brought new life to this household. And now even at a little over one, they are still acting like kittens.

Well.... I'm letting the boys be in charge of the party, so have fun...

Hi Everybuddy... Max here... Thanks for coming. It's been such a great year for HH and for me. HH adopted Bugsy and Knuckles and it seems that we achieved a whole new level of happiness over here.  

The boys were so excited about their first Christmas that HH and I thought it'd be fun to throw a New Year's party too and show them how nice New Years can be in a home.

Toona Tuesday

Knuckles here to tell you that it's the last Toooona of the Year....   What, Bugsy?... Oh... I mean, it's the last Tuesday of the year. That means that we should have an extra helping of Tooooona today, right...?

In any case... I hope you have a great day and I have two things to tell you.

1.  It's Tuesday so I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that it's a fine day to sponsor a cat at the Humane Society of South Brevard or at your local Humane Society.

and

2.  We're planning a little New Year's Even party... come on by if you have a chance. It'll start on Friday... yep you heard me right, that's New Year's Eve's Eve.... More about that later.

Monday declared the new Easy Like Sunday - One Week Only

Happy Day-After Christmas everybuddy.  Hope you all had a wonderful day. We did.  The boys wanted me to show you what they gave to HH for Christmas. It's a wonderful bracelet with a ladybug on it.  She loved it. They got it from The Beaded Tail.  We think it's byooootiful!!!

After all the celebrating yesterday, Easy Like Sunday was postponed until today. We'll be snoozing and resting up for sure.  Have a great day...

Flat Max visits Robert

Yesterday was a big day.  Early in the morning, the boys helped HH wrap up the Christmas present for Robert.   They really wanted to go with her to visit him, but they weren't allowed, so they sent Flat Max instead.

Here Flat Max is in the trunk. He was supervising HH loading the food and paper towels to take to the Humane Society of South Brevard.  They always need all sorts of practical things, so feel free to drop some things off when you can.

Too soon we had to say good-bye to Robert, but we'll be back...

Bugsy here.... It's my day to blog and Max is letting me have the extreme honor of telling you that it's TOONA TUESDAY, EVERYBUDDY...

Wha??????   I'm not supposed to yell...?   Oh, sorry. I just got excited.... Anyway, hope you have a great Toona Tuesday.

And I get to tell you the big news.  HH is going out to visit Robert** on Thursday at the Humane Society of South Brevard.  We're so excited and are going to send him some presents for Christmas.  

Knuckles and I are trying to talk HH into taking us with her, cuz we want to meet Robert too, but HH said that we might create havoc (whatever that is) if we were to go there. So, we will have to enjoy the pictures that HH takes.... We'll be reporting back to you on the weekend.

Good Morning Pals....

So, last week I showed you the new counter lights.... The boys were thrilled that they each had one... So what happened yesterday when HH tried to take her first pictures of the boys under the "Spotlights of Fame?"

You guessed it.  They both wanted the same spotlight.  After a bit of tussling, HH was able to get this picture of them sharing one spotlight.  

Hee, Hee... those boys crack me up.

One more week until Christmas... are you ready?

Not the right holiday, Bunny... This is Christmas.

This year.... HH says we don't have much to do to get ready for Christmas.  She already put the wreath on the door and we have been opening Christmas cards like crazy. It seems that the boys and I are way ahead of HH.  We have received wonderful Christmas cards at a rate of about 5 times as many as HH.... Don't mention that to her however. She's a little sensitive about it.  hee hee...

We're keeping the preparations simple this year.  How about you?  Do you and your beans have lots left to do to get ready?  Hope you have moved on to party time by now. Have a great weekend whatever you do.....

Max on...The Boys and Luggage...

I told HH she should have taken some pictures yesterday, but she was too much in a hurry to do it.

Here's the story.... She had some business up in Jacksonville yesterday and thought she might not get done in time to come home last night. So she packed a bag and took her computer, etc. with her.

Well, she was surpirsed that the boys.... who've never had the experience of her going on a trip... acted like I used to act back when she would get the suitcases out (I knew what that meant).

Anyhooooo, the boys draped themselves every which way over the overnight bag and sat on her piles of things to take with her. When she started to leave, they were both stretched out on the floor in front of the door as if to say, "No.... don't leave us!!!"

Well, as it turned out, she didn't have to say overnight. The boys greeted her enthusiastically when she returned and HH thought she overheard Bugsy say to Knuckles, "See, I told you she'd come back!"

Bugsy, you were right.  Maybe that exercise yesterday will keep you boys from getting so freaky over suitcases the way I was.

Thankful for Kitchen Thursday....

It's Knuckles here.  I get to blog today.

The kitchen is done... It looks great, but HH didn't give me any pictures to post, so I'll have to post some later.  We all love the new ceiling. And Bugsy and I are thinking of putting on some skits under those wonderful spotlights Joe put over our counter.  It was nice of him to put in one spotlight for each of us.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.... We're thankful for the look of the new kitchen that's for sure, and we're thankful for all of you.

Joe is back... the remodeling resumes...

 

How do you work this thing?. It doesn't have the same feel as last time.

So, our pal Joe is back. He's redoing the ceiling and the lighting in the kitchen. I must say, we didn't witness much of his work first hand. We were shut in the office all day.... Oh no.... we are very behind in our snoopervision. That's for sure. 

Here's a picture of Knuckles on top of the refrigerator with the old ceiling... See the lights are right above his head...

And now.... *drum roll*.... that plastic ceiling stuff over the long tube lights is all gone and here's Knuckles demonstrating how much more headroom he has  when he sits on top of the refrigerator.  See, he doesn't have to duck his head.  His ears even go above the line where the old ceiling used to be.  It's great and open and airy and wonderful so far.

Obviously, it isn't finished and painted yet, but it is coming along and we give Joe very high marks for his first day of working on it.  

Below is a picture of what it looks like so far.  Joe put in a couple of inset lights over the bar.  Ah..... looks great... Today he'll put in the overhead light and do some surface work and maybe paint.  We'll let you know.

I don't know if you've heard, but Mr. Pip is having a bit of trouble over at his place concerning his couch. It seems that his beans have relegated his couch to the basement. Therefore, he has instituted, Operation Occupy Couch. As a sign of solidarity, we are posting pictures on our couches (yes, we are lucky to have two couches over here, and we are very thankful for them). So to let Pip know that we're with him, here are pictures of us on our couches. We're with you Pip... And we'll sacrifice and continue to nap on our couches until your beans return your couch...

Max on ... decorating for Christmas

This is one of my old Christmas cards. I thought I'd haul it out for today's post. Kinda festive, doncha think?

It's time to decorate for Christmas, but we're a little stumped over here.  The boys are all for the tree idea, but HH doesn't think it'll last more than a minute and a half. She just knows they'll be climbing all over it and playing hockey with the ornaments. So, for now, we're taking old ornament pictures and putting them around the condo.  Yes, it'll look tacky, but at least there won't be broken bulbs everywhere.  HEE HEE... The creativity of these boys leaves me breathless some times.

Do you have a tree?  If so..... what are the consequences..? I mean, do you just look at it in awwwwwwe or do you dismantle it? Somehow, I think Knuckles and Bugsy are the dismantling type ... What do you think?

So I was doing a little snooping around in the weeee hours with my night-vision goggles and look what I found... the boys getting their easy on.... Looks like we'll have a relaxed day.

By the way, thanks for all the suggestions from everybuddy on the name for the mouse. The most people mentioned Checkers... so that's his name.  He likes it too.
