| Yea!!! HH stopped Bugsy from eating my food. |
Good morning pals...
Today, I thought I'd give you a little
update on cat nutrition over here.
I'm happy to report that Bugsy and Knuckles
are doing a little better in that department. A few days ago, I told you that
Bugsy, sly boy that he is, was stealing part of Knuckles' food at almost every
meal. Consequently, Knuckles was getting trimmer and Bugsy was... (I hate
pointing a paw at him and saying he was getting fatter - such an ugly term) ...
well, let's just say, Bugsy was not losing any weight and was working earnestly
to collect more fat cells. YIKES!
For now, HH has solved the problem by putting a chair
between their dishes and policing the proceedings. In the short term, this is working. Now when Bugsy lunges for Knuckles' food, HH
scoops him up and doesn't let him down until Knuckles is finished. I can't say
Bugsy is too happy with this interference, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Right?
HH knows, however, that in the long run, she needs to study
up on cat nutrition and make sure the boys have the best diet for their
needs. That would be one that will keep
them healthy and full.
Already she has
learned that protein is one of the keys to feeling full. She learned that from
her own dietician who tells her to eat an egg before exercising...
yuck! Anyhooooo... HH has also learned
that a good feeding schedule is important to cat nutrition too. So those are
the things that we are going to work on next.

Have a great day and if you're skinny, eat a treat for
Bugsy... such a cute boy.

Food Fight! Oh that's not an easy task. Imagine with 6 kitties what fun!!!
I have to do the same thing HH does with Bugsy wit Ruby: she eats faster than Allegra, and if I don't scoop her up as soon as she's done, she'll stick her head right underneath Allegra's, while Allegra is still eating!
It is hard to keep kitties separate at meal times!
We have this problem with Pip eating the cat food. I literally have to feed everyone in separate rooms or put Pip on his leash when the cats are eating. He LOVES cat food and between his slight weight problem and his heart condition, he just can't have it!
I have only had one pet at a time so I always wondered how people deal with a sneaky, eating pet...
Oh, I get to have a chicken jerky like right NOW fur Bugsy. Say no more....
Pee Ess - we all has to eat in different rooms coz mom say she does not measure out our noms individually coz she has nuttin better to do. At least that keeps my sisses from stealing my noms.
We know just what you are talking about. Try having ten of them eating together and some get different kinds of food for their different problems. It just isn't easy. The nutrition study is very interesting and takes a lot of study and trial. We will be interested in what you come up with. Take care.
Our cats have one self filling feeding bowl and it's probably not the best set up. Chloe has quite a few extra fluffies while Moe is skinny.
Nubbin wiggles,

Bugsy this is Cody's Mom...I feel your pain. I have the same problem myself! (about ME, not Cody! lol)
Mom said to be sure that HH Isn't "free-feeding" you (which I am sure she isn't!)
It will be ok...Cody lost weight and if he can do it you can!
xoxoxo
Bugsy I know how you feel EMPTY
24/7...it is rough being a kitty sometimes when the human watches you like a hawk. I declare I think mom counts ever morsel she gives me.
Hugs Madi
I get fed on top of my cat tree and if Binga isn't eating at the same time, she has to get locked away from where I am eating or she will haunt me and try to steal my food! Feeding time is pretty complicated around here too.
We all eat from a self feeder. Some of us (Tamir) self feed more often than others!!!
Mom didn't know about eating an egg before exercising!

Dining habits of cats and dogs do often call for human intervention. What can we say....
Mocha Barney, Ashley Pumpernickel and Winniechurchill
A piece of food falls on the kitchen floor right in front of Alanis. Miro wakens, charges downstairs and into the kitchen, and scoops it up while Alanis is still figuring out what happened. Fast eaters!
Sometimes I guess it´s good that humans are snoopervising :)
Me too think´s that an egg before exercise sounds YUCK !
Well for the first time in his five years, Austin is starting to look full furred. I hope diet is not on the agenda.
Bugsy, some restraint is needed but not by HH!! Get what I’m saying?
My two cats will eat for awhile out of their own dish and then trade they do this all through the meal.
I am in love with the first picture! Absolutely cute!!!
Hugs

We're glad you both get your share of foods now! Hope you still get treats!
Our mom has to police us too when it comes to eating. Wally would eat all my food if mom wasn't there to stop him.

We hate to tell you kittehz this, but HH is right. Our Mommy is always reading up on kitteh foods. We just want whatefur is stinkiest! And DIET is a four letter word!
I feel sorry for poor Bugsy's face. Stay strong HH.
