We are so excited. Nerissa nominated us for the Blog Award. The boys didn't know what addictive meant, so I looked it up in the dictionary and it said, being prone to addiction.... Ha! They didn't know what addiction was either, but they go excited when they found out.
addiction = state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming
They got excited because to have someone say that their blog is habit-forming.... Wooo hoooooo.... high praise indeed. Thank you Nerissa... Please, if you don't know Nerissa, stop by and say hi... CLICK HERE
So for the award we are supposed to share why we blog and how our journey began. First of all, we blog because we love it and we love all the friends we've made on the Internet.
As to our journey.... Well, for those that don't know it, there are three of us here. To cats in residence (Bugsy and Knuckles) and the big guy who started it all, Max, who is an angel cat. Many of you may not know, but Max was over the bridge before the blog started. You see, HH was writing a book about Max when he was about 18 years old. At 18.5 years, Max ran off to the Rainbow Bridge. After that, HH just couldn't get back to writing the book. Along about that time, Twitter and blogs were just starting to be big, so HH decided to give Max a blog and see if that would help her get going again writing about Max. It did and she finished the book and all. So, the blog started in 2009... well in 2011 (January) HH finally was ready for a new kitty. She went to the SPCA to look around and came back with TWO... Bugsy and Knuckles. Here they are on their Gotcha Day...
Anyway, that's how our journey began. We love the blogging and now the boys, Bugsy mostly, but Knuckles some of the time are beginning to contribute to the blog too,

That's so interesting 'bout how your blog began. I never knew any of that stuff before. You guys are doin' Max super-duper proud, you know. I bet he thinks of you and purrs and purrs and PURRS. Really good, strong proud purrs. purrs
We are so happy HH decided to get another kitty or two after losing poor Max, but look how great it worked out. Now we know and love you too along with Angel Max.
Wow, I learned bunches about you today! I didn't realize Max had gone to the Bridge already. I'm sure he's purring up a storm there about his pawsome blog.

Congrats on your award. We always knew that Max was an Angel Kitty, but we didn't know the whole story. We are sorry he had to cross but so nice that he helped Bugsy and Knuckles find their way to their forever home.

We love how your journey began - ours was almost the same. We were adopted by Mum after her old cat (almost 20 years old) died. After a couple of months we decided to try blogging too.

Our commenting has been hit and miss of late. My G-ma fell on 10/10 broke her hip and had surgery. She is now in rehab and thankfully mom had some post sitting in line waiting to post. now we are trying to get back on our commenting schedule
